Americans purchase nearly 600 million pounds of candy a year for Halloween.  A Google search reveals too that an incredible 90 million pounds of chocolate candy is sold during Halloween week alone, taking a strong lead compared to other holidays.

Statista Research reports that in 2020, U.S. consumers planned to spend $2.4 billion on candy for the Halloween season.

Candy companies are reported to rely on the 10-week Halloween period for nearly 14% of their annual $36 billion in U.S. sales. Halloween’s massive candy sales are followed closely only by Christmas and Easter.

But what is the most popular Halloween candy? According to a poll from Monmouth University, more than 36% of Americans say that Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups® are their favorite Halloween treats.
